Meat and poultry are also healthy to eat on a daily basis and do not contribute to weight gain.
It is important to avoid refined sugars and processed foods. Eating more vegetables and fruits increases your intake of fiber, which helps you control your cholesterol intake and helps keep your weight in check. Processed foods often have high calories and low nutritional content. If you do not replace unhealthy meals with healthy alternatives, you may not be able to lose weight while following the diet.
