Different Styles of Fashion
Fashion is a unique form of autonomy and self-expression in a certain time and location and at a certain context, of attire, footwear, jewelry, accessories, make-up, hairstyle, body posture, and manner. In its broader usage, however, the word also refers to a style defined by the fashion industry as what is fashionable in the year that a particular fashion show is taking place. The word is increasingly used to refer loosely to categories of popular styles or fashions.
Some of the common aspects of the broad spectrum of fashion are dressy casual wear such as skirts and blouses, work wear like shirt and necktie, and smart casuals, which are items of preppy or trendy casual clothing that are becoming more popular on both men and women. Some designers, particularly couture ones, have begun to develop a sub-genre of clothing called sportswear. This category includes T-shirts, sports jerseys, sweatshirts, jackets, and shoes, all of which can loosely be classified under the larger category of fashion.
Another way to categorize fashion trends is by their geographical location. One example of this is runway fashion, which refers to the clothes worn by celebrities on the popular television shows. The most popular shows are usually related to the fashion weeks which are hosted by famous designers. These designers often come up with an entire line of clothing and make it available to the public for those interested in showing up in the limelight. The clothes on display may include short dresses with dramatic cuts or elaborate jewelry sets. The runway styles tend to be very popular among young women and teenagers.
A different type of fashion trends is associated with the jewelry designers. Most jewelry designers to create one-of-a-kind pieces of costume jewelry that are designed as engagement rings, wedding rings, necklaces, or earrings. This type of apparel is very expensive and is only worn on special occasions. In recent years, more of these fashion jewelry designers are creating lines of lower cost, affordable clothing that is made in the same high fashion that they create their more costly jewelry pieces.
Celebrities are not the only people who are known to wear fashion. Many college students dress like celebrities when they attend parties or other social gatherings. The main difference is that these students cannot legally patent their ideas or trademark their clothing, although they can legally trademark their photos. Students can wear fashion as a sort of fashion statement and make a statement about their attitude toward fashion without actually earning any money by wearing clothes created by others.
All of the styles of fashion mentioned here can be loosely categorized into high fashion, low fashion, casual fashion, luxury fashion, haute couture, and street fashion. Each of these different sub-categories of fashion has its own audience and some of the designers of each sub-category of fashion have even developed clothing lines for men, women, children, and teenagers. All of these designers are known to make popular fashion statements with their designs.
