The most important factor in losing weight is to eat right. To eat right, as in literally to “eat your veggies.” EAT. You will feel better if you eat less. If you eat less, your body uses the food for energy, and you burn calories more efficiently.

The researchers have compared over sixty different dieting programs. They found that the best ranking factor expertise for weight loss was eating less. The correlation between eating less and having less belly fat was extremely strong.

These researchers looked at over one thousand people who were trying to lose about four hundred pounds. All of them were on some kind of diet or trying to lose a lot of weight. Then, they studied the diets separately and tested them against one another. The diets that did best to have all three ranking factors, but the diets that fell at the bottom of the list had only one element–expertitude. In other words, it was easy for the people who came up at the bottom of the lists to be more novice and less confident about their diets. People who ranked lower than the middle of the pack but ate a moderate amount of food didn’t really know what they were doing and were often unsure about what the diet required.

These novice dieters needed help. They needed help in implementing the recommended changes, and they needed to know about the ranking factors. It’s hard to believe that so many people don’t take the time to research and to create daily expertise. We need experts, and we need them daily. But for those who don’t have the time or the expertise, it’s nice to have guidelines to guide us in the right direction, even if we have to make a few tweaks along the way.

They’ve been concerned that if they lose trustworthiness with the Google powerhouses, they’ll be in trouble. Trustworthiness is very important when you’re working online, particularly if your main goals are to promote products and services, build relationships, and generate revenue. Don’t let petty ranking problems get in the way of doing all that. Stick to solid social media strategies, and don’t lose sight of your expert status.
